About us

From Sandra: As owner and director, I assure you that my heart and approach is always in the best interest of your child. My experience is extensive in many areas. I have been caring for children since I started as a mother's helper at age 10 and cared for the same family for 15 years. In college I volunteered at KinderCare for a few years. After college I nannied for many children over the years, including overnight care for infant twins from birth until they were sleep trained. In 2009 I was blessed with amazing twins and another bundle of joy two years later. All three of my kids are amazing in their own way but also have their own challenges. Each of them have some form of diagnosis of a special need. Tyler was diagnosed with Autism at age two and Taylor and Devin both have Anxiety disorders. My reasoning for telling you these things is so that you are also aware of the extensive resources I have had access to over the years. I have been down this journey with amazing top of the line psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists and also feeding therapists. I have been exposed to music therapy, the Wilbur Brushing Protocol, social stories and have an endless knowledge in so many areas and access to so many resources. Treating the children as a whole group and the same, while meeting each of their individual needs is something I am well versed in.

I run this daycare with my heart and know the trust you place in me while you have to be at work. The staff are amazing and dedicated and love each child individually. Helping them grow and learn life basics as well as exposing them to all new things is the most rewarding job staff could ask for. I am very lucky to have a great support team that helps run this daycare inside and out of the classroom. We are continually expanding our knowledge with training as well as things that offer within our program,

Please know how honored I would be if you decide to place your trust in me and my staff to care for your child and nurture them through the most precious first years of their life. We are aware of the importance of these first moments and establishing the

building blocks for the beginning stages of their life.

Curriculum

While using the Creative Play-based Child Care Curriculum model we take every opportunity to learn something new. We will explain these experiences and areas that we are working on with your child through the newsletter that is sent out monthly or when we see each other at arrival or pick up. If I feel it's necessary, I may even reach out after hours.

The Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care is a play-based curriculum that emphasizes a warm, responsive relationships between provider and child while following the lead of your Child's self directed play. We join your child in their imagination and teach colors or counting or other things while we follow their lead and nurture their play skills and leadership. The majority of children's learning and development occurs spontaneously during child-led free play. The Creative Curriculum supports age-appropriate play-based learning for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children while preserving the special characteristics of a home-style learning environment. When weather allows we spend from 9 am until about 12:45 pm outdoors playing, exploring and engaging in many activities each day. We have a beautiful and large play space in the yard with an infant cabana to allow for the infants to be safe from the suns rays but allow them to enjoy the same outside time. Our colorful sails cover the play spaces for the children to keep them too out of the harmful rays. Wee do water tables, tie dye activities, and offer a lot of imagination and free play time.We have enrichment classes such as music class, dance class, yoga, holiday activities, family events and so much more. We teach independence with the can do attitude. We want the children to feel successful from a young age and have the ability to feel they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. We are here to teach and help our seedlings grow to be the best that they can be! This is all done through collaboration of parent and provide communication constantly as well as consistency between the two environments.
